Fifty years of home prices in Luxembourg
A home bought for €100,000 in 1975 would be worth about €2,870,000 in 2025 if it had moved with the market: 28.7 times as much. Prices doubled in four periods: 1975–1980, 1985–1991, 2000–2007 and 2013–2022, peaking in 2022. After inflation, they rose about 4.7% a year from 1975 to 2022, according to the Observatoire de l’Habitat.
Log scale: each step up is a doubling. Shaded: the four periods when prices doubled. Not adjusted for inflation. 2024–2025 extended with STATEC’s quarterly index.
